Full Time Head Gardener – REF 548 (FILLED)

Full Time Head Gardener required for large private Estate located a short distance from Newmarket.

We are looking for someone who can manage a team of established Gardeners but also be very hands on.

The ideal person will have horticultural qualifications and a wealth of experience working within large formal gardens.

Excellent plant identification and a good knowledge of all gardening requirements- formal borders, cutting garden, greenhouse, vegetable garden, grass cutting, strimming, etc.

The use of large garden machinery will be required so experience in this area essential.

Someone who can liaise with the kitchen and housekeeping staff within the household to provide ingredients and fresh flowers all year round.

The successful person must be polite, organised with the ability to advise and assist where needed on the Estate.

The gardens are open to the public at times so someone who can interact with both visitors and other staff members is a must.
