Full time Accounts Manager required for a well-established family run business based in Great Blakenham near Ipswich. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and well known plant hire and aggregates business set in a semi-rural location.

This is s full time role Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm with 28 days holiday a year including bank holidays. The salary will be dependant on experience.

The position will include:-

  • The use of Sage 50 accounting software.
  • Running weekly payroll for around 35 staff members, preparing wages reports and submitting to the bank.Dealing with pensions
  • Manage and update employees personal files
  • Undertake monthly bank reconciliations
  • Factoring invoices.
  • Filing and other office duties
  • Credit control.
  • Preparing end of year returns
  • Administration
  • Communicating with clients
  • To ensure the highest standard of confidentiality of customer details at all times
  • To operate and adhere to the Company’s Health and safety Policy.
  • To work with the high standards set out by the Company.

The ideal person will:-

  • Have at least 5 years experience working in a similar position.
  • Have an approachable and friendly manner.
  • Be a team player within the wider office.
  • Reliable and pro-active.
  • Happy to work alone within their role.
  • Proficient in the use of Sage50 accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
