HGV Fitter – REF SP1430

Commercial HGV fitter required for a well-established family run business based in Great Blakenham near Ipswich. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and well known plant hire and aggregates business set in a semi-rural location.

The position will be full time around 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm with overtime offered. 28 days holiday allowance including bank holidays. The use of a company vehicle will be provided. The salary will be dependent on experience.

The position will include:-

• Maintaining a fleet of 8 wheel tippers.
• Must have an HGV licence.
• Competent to produce vehicles to MOT standard.
• Competent to service vehicles with knowledge of Scania and Renault trucks.
• Good knowledge of diagnostic equipment, in particular Jaltest Diagnostics.
• A knowledge of Construction plant would be beneficial.
• Running own workshop, inclusive of all diagnostic equipment.
• Liaising with local garages and dealerships for newer vehicles to support in the general maintenance and fixing of all vehicles.

The ideal person will:-

• Have at least 5 years experience working within a similar role.
• Be able to work alone in their role.
• Be a good communicator and able to fit into a team environment within the wider company.
• Demonstrate they are reliable and hard working and able to work some overtime if needs be.
