Part Time Groom/Mother’s Help required for very busy family located 9 miles west of Newmarket, Suffolk.
We are looking for a lightweight groom/rider who can ride 13.2 and 14.2 ponies to a good standard-hacking and schooling. Someone who can help the children with their ponies and possibly accompany them to shows on occasions. The position will involve poo picking the fields, tack cleaning, keeping the yard tidy and exercising the ponies.
The family have 2 school age children ( 12 & 13) who will require dropping off and picking up from school so a safe driver with a clean driving licence essential.
There will be times when some babysitting will be required and help with cooking lunch/tea. Previous childcare would be an advantage as one of the children is type 1 diabetic so an understanding of this would be great.
The family also have dogs who need walking and feeding plus chickens who need cleaning out at times.
This role would suit someone flexible who loves country life, animals and most importantly genuinely loves working with children.
A good hourly rate will be offered to the successful person.
