Caretaker/Dog Sitter – Nr Royston, Hertfordshire -Ref JF1584

Caretaker/Dog Sitter required for private country house located approx 8 miles South of Cambridge close to Royston Hertfordshire.

We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy person with a genuine love of all animals, particularly dogs to work approx 25 hours a week with the flexibility to increase and decrease according to the owners requirements. This is a live in position and there is a lovely one bedroom flat provided with some utilities included. The employee will be responsible for paying TV and Electric bills.

A partner who has their own employment elsewhere would be welcome.

There are 3 other staff members employed so this is not an isolated position.

The position:-

• Security of the property
• Care of 2 small dogs – one is young so ongoing training necessary
• Care of 3 chickens – feeding, cleaning out and collecting eggs
• A little light gardening to assist gardener
• Sweeping the terraces
• Blowing leaves from the tennis court
• Occasional driving for the family-local station and restaurants

The Person:-

• Reliable, friendly and someone who can be trusted to care for the pets and property in owner’s absence
• A car driver with clean licence
• Putting bins out as and when necessary
• Happy to live on site
• Physically fit to help with other tasks around the Estate
• Able to provide fully checkable references

A good salary will be offered to the successful person.
