Housekeeper – Bedfordshire REF 556 – FILLED

Full time experienced Senior Housekeeper required for large private country house in edge of village location close to Bedford.

The ideal person will be happy working alone and caring for this lovely home while the owners are in London or away.

This is very much a family home so the successful person must understand the demands of working around a busy family and have previously worked within a private household.

This is a 5 day week position which is to include weekends and days off will be taken during the week.

Single accommodation in a self contained apartment is offered along with a generous salary.

Duties will include all housework to a very high standard , laundry and ironing.

Someone who is a good cook would be a great advantage to cook for the family when they are in residence and also to cook for the freezer. A cake baker would be lovely.

Help with entertaining would also be required.

The family have dogs so animal lover essential who is happy to walk and feed in owners absence.

The local environment is lovely and would suit a country loving person who is happy working alone.

Interviews can be arranged over the Christmas period if required with start date to be agreed for January/February 2020
