Full Time Groundsperson /Maintenance , West Norfolk – Ref JF 1498

Grounds Person/Assistant

Experienced person required for private house set in 5 acres of grounds in West Norfolk.

We are looking for a well presented, polite,  and conscientious person with good knowledge of garden machinery and basic house maintenance skills, who can assist with the running of the property.

This person will be a non-smoker, in good health, able to communicate effectively and work on their own initiative.

Duties will include.

General grounds maintenance such as grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting.  Use of a garden tractor with attachments.

(All equipment provided, and training given where necessary).

All aspects of plant care and tidiness of planted areas.

Cleaning and basic maintenance of vehicles along with driving duties.

Handling post and deliveries.

Security of premises.

Liaising with visiting trades people.

Household duties include fire cleaning, window cleaning, replacing lightbulbs, minor plumbing and electrical issues.

Assisting other household staff where necessary.

The ideal applicant

Full Driving Licence – essential

Non-Smoker – essential

Knowledge of plants and Shrubs – important

Chain Saw training – an advantage.

Strimmer training – an advantage

Ladder training – an advantage

First Aid Certificate – an advantage

Hours

Basic Hours 8.30-5.00 Mon – Fri

Occasional weekend work and additional hours may be required.

Keyholder responsibilities

Good salary offered as well as Nest Pension and 28 days holiday ( inc Bank Holidays)
