Full Time experienced Groom/Housekeeper required for private country house with 2 beautiful horses situated in stunning location on the Essex/Suffolk border.
During the Spring and Summer months the focus is perhaps more towards the horses in preparation for their competition season ( top level showing and eventing) with less housework.
The Autumn and Winter months are the reverse with the emphasis being on the housework, laundry and ironing. The house is large and gorgeous with grand hall and reception rooms. many bedrooms which although not all always in use there are busy periods when beds will need changing, making etc. Laundry and ironing also part of this position.
A cook who could provide occasional family meals and cook for the freezer would be perfect.
The family also have an Air BNB property so this needs to be kept immaculate to maintain their high standard award!
The equines are as follows
A very good and extremely successful, champion WHP and a lovely event horse.
The Groom will be required to clip, plait and turn horses out for competition to a high standard. The ability to manage this small but perfect stable yard, carrying out all mucking out, feeding, hays, waters, turning horses out and bringing in from the field etc. Cleaning tack and preparing lorry and horse for travelling.
Also a good rider who can hack and maintain the horses fitness while rider is away.
A lorry driver would be the icing on the cake to drive the smart 7.5 T lorry.
The accommodation is suitable for a single person as the cottage is cosy and warm ( completely self contained)
