Full Time Estate Gardener, Newmarket, Suffolk Ref JF1562

We are currently looking to employ an experienced gardener to work as part of a team on a private estate on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border( 5 minutes from Newmarket). The garden is varied, with formal lawns, large herbaceous borders, naturalised bulb planting, Peony and rose gardens, mixed shrub and herbaceous gardens and a vegetable and cutting garden.

The gardens were initially laid out around 20 years ago, but are constantly developing and evolving, its very much a garden that isn’t standing still. The gardens are private, but we do open for charity twice a year.

Duties to include, but not limited to

Using Ride on Mower and compact tractor mounted implements

Pedestrian mower use, strimming, hedge cutting, weeding, pruning, mulching and lawn care.

PA1 and PA6 spray certification and chain saw qualifications desired.

The role is varied and you will be working as part of the department, but also with other member of staff on the estate.

Full Time Permanent position

40 Hours Per Week
