Competition Groom – Cambridgeshire REF 566

Full Time experienced Groom required to assist Head Groom in this small family competition yard ( Eventers) located approx half an hour from both Huntingdon and Cambridge.

There are ponies and horses on the yard and we are looking for someone to join this small established team .

The ideal person will be able to carry out yard duties to a high standard and be able to help the Head Groom to keep the yard running efficiently and tidy at all times. The ability and confidence to handle horses on the ground essential-grooming, leading, tacking up etc. A good rider would be an advantage to help with hacking to keep the horses fitness maintained.

The horses and ponies compete from young horse classes , pony trials up to high level eventing so the successful person should have an understand of the demands this creates.

Someone who can clip, plait and turn horses out to a high standard would be perfect.

Opportunity for travelling to events for the right person. 7.5 T lorry driver would be great but not essential
