Full Time Yard Manager, Newmarket, Suffolk Ref JF 1492

Full Time Yard Manager required for International Event rider based near Newmarket, Suffolk. We are looking for someone with excellent experience to work alongside the Head Groom.

The rider competes from BE100 to 5*, so the incoming staff member must understand the demands of managing the yard to the highest standard.

The ideal person will be able to carry out the business side of the operation, which will include keeping competition entries up to date, liaising with trainers, owners, visiting riders, feed merchants, vets, farriers and all other people who keep the yard running smoothly. Ensuring that Health and Safety regulations are met and up to standard.

The position will include being hands on in the yard, mucking out, grooming, tacking up horses ready for the rider, preparing horses and lorry for travel, lunging, assisting with vet and farrier visits. Checking stock supplies, ordering

Someone who can keep accurate records essential, with good IT skills.

A polite, easy to get along with person who can provide fully checkable references essential.

Car driver required due to the location.
