Travelling Groom, Brentwood, Essex REF JF1504

Full Time experienced Groom required to travel with show jumpers nationally and internationally.

This is a fabulous opportunity for someone who has the required experience with competition horses and can provide first class care at home and abroad. The rider and horses compete at a high level and require the travelling groom to understand the demands of working away from home.

Must be able to turn horses out to the highest standard-clipping, trimming etc and be able to groom at events sometimes at a fast pace. The ideal person will be reliable,  organised, committed and an excellent team player. Someone who is friendly and easy to get along with essential. Must be confident and competent handling fit horses on the ground- lunging, tacking up, studding up etc. The ability to prepare the horses for travel essential (bandaging etc) and to assist with loading the lorry.

There is accommodation available in Brentwood when based on the yard at home. Other grooms employed so this is not an isolated position.

A good salary will be offered for the right person.
