Stud Groom, Near Newmarket – REF JF1614

Full Time experienced Groom/ Stud Groom required for private showjumping stud in Newmarket, Suffolk.

We are looking for someone reliable, punctual with a good work ethic to join the established team.

The successful person will be required to work 5 days a week which will include weekends – one whole weekend off a month.

The Position:-

• All yard duties -mucking out, hays, waters, feeding etc
• Turning horses out to a high standard
• Handling, foals, young stock, mares and colts
• Long reining and lunging
• Non riding or Riding (breaking and bringing on if competent)

The person:-

• Reliable, hard working and a real team player
• Confident with all horses-foals to brood mares
• Car driver with own transport
• Happy handling horses on the ground
• Must have a proven track record of stud work
• Car driver with own Transport
• Fit and healthy as the position can be quite physical
• Looking for a long term position within a friendly team

A generous hourly rate will be offered to the successful person which will depend on the individual.
