Fantastic opportunity for either a local nanny/ mothers help or a postgraduate Norland student or equivalent looking for a short-term placement, working for a lovely, small family in Norfolk on a part time basis. The position is based in the centre of beautiful Holt. Both parents work and are looking for the following:
- Someone to help a couple of evenings a week with their two children from either 3.30 or 4.30-7.30pm in term time (specific days to be confirmed).
- Someone to look after the children 8am-4pm every Saturday in term time (this is crucial).
- No cleaning required.
- The family have a very friendly dog but do not require him to be walked.
Accommodation within the main house is available if the person is relocating or requires live in.
We are hoping to find a lovely person who is great with children and can commit to the whole 9-month placement during term time.
The ideal person does not need to be qualified in childcare although this would a real bonus. They must however be experienced around young children as well as ultra reliable and of course happy to work every Saturday during term time.
Glowing references and an up-to-date DBS check will be required, for those with out of date checks we can send off for a new one.

Part Time TEMPORARY TERM TIME Nanny required to care for one 4 year old little boy . This position is to start asap and will end in June 2023 so approx 6 months.
The family are located in Ickburgh near Thetford and are looking for a reliable, kind, caring Nanny to take the little boy to school in the morning and pick him up from school at 3.15pm in the afternoon.
The hours will be morning 7.15am to 9am
afternoon 3.15pm to 5pm
The Nanny will be required to assist with breakfast and getting ready for school, clearing the kitchen and loading dishwasher etc. Carrying out the school run to a school a few miles from the family home.
In the afternoon it would be collect child from school at 3.15 pm, once home cook tea for him and create fun times until parents get home.
There is a younger child but she goes everyday with Mummy.
The family have indoor cats so someone happy to have them around essential.
Excellent references and a DBS check will be required.

Experienced School Matron/Boarding Assistant required for one of the leading Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory schools in the country. The school is located in the village of Brettenham in the most stunning location.
The Matrons and Boarding Assistants are responsible for overseeing the domestic running of the Boarding Houses; which will include cleaning, laundry, maintenance, health and safety and medical arrangements for the individual pupils.
Liaising with Senior Matron, Head of Boarding and parents will be part of this role.
The Position :-
- To Contribute to pastoral care and well being of the pupils
- Provide first aid to pupils with minor illness
- To respond to medical emergencies – escorting pupils to dentist etc
- To administer medication in accordance with school protocol
- To keep accurate records of incidents, accidents, illness etc
- Check for head lice and other health issues
- To wake boarders and ensure they are well presented for breakfast
- Supervise pupils dormitory tidying and bed making
- To tidy dorms and check beds.
- To serve morning snack
- To attend regular meetings
- To provide sympathetic support to pupils having difficulties coping with school life
- To eat with and supervise children at supper
- Supervise pupils at bedtime, showering, bathing etc
The Person:-
- Reliable, trustworthy, kind and caring
- Genuinely love working with children
- Will have Paediatric First Aid Qualification
- DBS checked
- Will have previous school matron/boarding assistant experience or nursing experience
- Polite and well presented
- Will have excellent communication skills
- Sympathetic and sensitive to pupils needs.
- Car driver with clean licence
A competitive salary will be offered in exchange for 34 weeks work during the year plus 2 days at the beginning and end of each term.

Full Time experienced nanny/Mother’s Help to work Monday to Friday caring for 2 babies ages 2 and 9 months. This is a TEMPORARY position and will start from end of August 2022 for 6 months.
We are looking for a wonderful Nanny with the kindest, caring nature who would love looking after these two little ones. Childcare qualifications would be an advantage however someone with extensive, fully referenced childcare experience would be seriously considered.
The Hours will be as follows :
- 6.45am to 4.45pm for 3 days
- 8.45 am to 4.45pm for 2 days
The Position:-
- Sole care of 2 young children ages 2 years and 9 months
- Getting them dressed and providing breakfast for them prior to taking the 2 year old to nursery
- Time alone with the baby providing a safe and happy environment- lots of nappy changing, drinks, play time and fresh air.
- Collect older child from nursery
- Back to the house where both children sleep between 1 and 3pm
- Between 1 and 3pm this is the time for the ~Mother’s Help part to kick in – housework, laundry, ironing, putting away etc
- Prepare the children’s tea
- Keep children happy and entertained until Mummy gets home at 4.15pm
Car driver and non smoker essential.
Paediatric first aid would be required and also an up to date DBS.
Excellent fully checkable references will be requested.
A good hourly rate will be offered to the successful person.
