Full Time Personal Assistant required for private family office located in West London. This is a temporary contract to cover the current PA’s maternity leave. The position is planned to commence towards the end of January 2024 and will be for a period of one year.

Monday to Friday – 9am to 5.30pm. Flexibility to work extra hours if required.

The Personal Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive, administrative, and secretarial support to the team making sure that all aspects of the principals’ arrangements are efficiently handled.

The Personal Assistant will be part of a team of 3 PA’s, all who report to the Team Manager.

The Position will involve:-

  • Making sure meetings are arranged and the necessary paperwork is carried out.
  • Welcoming visitors and escorting them as appropriate.
  • Assisting with internal and external enquiries and drafting the appropriate correspondence in response.
  • Arranging private events such as parties and other celebrations.
  • Arranging Christmas and Easter projects as instructed by the principals.
  • Arranging the Principals’ family travel.
  • Sourcing gifts, collecting and running errands and gift wrapping.

The Person:-

  • Will have previously worked within a private household as a PA or Private Secretary to UHNW individual(s).
  • Will be able to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Will have a professional verbal and written communication style, with the ability to liaise easily with a wide range of individuals including very senior.
  • Must be happy to follow instructions and work within set perimeters.
  • Reliable, punctual with a great work ethic and completely trustworthy.
  • A good team player and easy to get along with.
  • Will be polite, well presented with a good command of the English language.
  • Will have excellent IT skills, and the ability to take dictation on to screen and have accurate typing.
  • Able to remain calm, work under pressure and display a flexible proactive approach to last minute change.
  • Will be able to always maintain confidentiality and work with utmost tact and discretion.
  • Must be happy to travel to other locations within the UK on average 1-2 times a month.

Farm Secretary Maternity Contract

Full time farm secretary required on a temporary 12–14-month maternity contract in a busy and varied family run farming business and butchery. Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.

We are looking for a reliable and organised person able to travel to a rural location 12 miles north of Norwich.

The role would suit someone with farm office experience or knowledge of farming.

The position will include but is not limited to:

  • Use of Sage 50 for all bookkeeping tasks
  • VAT returns monthly.
  • Bacs payment runs.
  • Use of excel.
  • Payroll and timesheet management
  • Dealing with customers (mainly wholesale) over the phone. Full product training will be given but applicants must be comfortable with spending time in a butchery.
  • PA and Admin duties
  • Use of bespoke system to place customer orders (training provided)
  • Customer credit control

To start in early November the applicant must:

  • Be competent with bookkeeping tasks (Knowledge of Sage not essential as training will be given)

Admissions Registrar /Head’s PA required to cover maternity leave to start July 2023 until May 2024.

The position is within one of the leading independent Preparatory and Nursery Schools in the county and is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Admissions Registrar to join the team for approx 9 months.

The successful person will be dealing with parents from the initial telephone call applying for a place for their child through to the welcoming of the child to their first day.

The admissions process will involve:-

  • Initial enquiry from parent
  • Arranging an appointment to visit the school
  • Gathering personal information about the child – interests, hobbies, sports etc
  • Liaise with class teacher
  • Arrange further visits to school if required
  • Provide all forms to be filled if they decide to take a place and suggest a trial day
  • Follow up call/email after trial day

Pony Groom / Rider (Maternity Cover)- Newmarket, Suffolk- REF 1361

This is a fantastic opportunity for a lightweight, experienced rider / groom who is looking to work with smart Pony Club / British Showjumping competition ponies. The person will purely be responsible for the daily care of the three children’s wonderful ponies including:

  • Mucking out
  • Feeding
  • Poo picking
  • Grooming
  • Clipping
  • Pulling manes/tails
  • Tacking up
  • Tack cleaning
  • Exercising, lunging and schooling (between 123cm-142cm)
  • Supervising riding after school
  • Driving small horse lorry
  • Getting the ponies ready for lessons, competitions etc
  • Competition preparation, washing, plaiting, trimming
  • Taking the children and their ponies to shows, Pony Club and rallies

This is a full-time temporary position to cover maternity leave and the person must be flexible. If time allows, the family may ask the person to help with the racehorses which are based on the same yard.

Core hours would be 8.00am-12 and when the children are riding after school, they would be required to be there from 5.00pm-7.00pm

This is a live out position so someone local to Newmarket would be preferable. The yard is based in the centre of gorgeous Newmarket and is busy and bustling. Endurance Rider/Groom required- Near Dereham REF 709 (Maternity Cover, 1 .5 years) Now Filled

We are looking for a full time, live out, experienced Rider/Groom to manage the day to day running of a lovely, private GB endurance yard. Previous experience with endurance horses is not essential, however the person MUST be a competent rider (racing, eventing, show-jumping, dressage, hunting, polo etc).

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who would enjoy spending long hours in the saddle, training and prepping top class Arabian horses for endurance races. You will be a major part of the team and will be involved in all aspects of the job including competition.

Due to the size of the horses, the person ideally needs to be lightweight (80/85 Kgs max)

We need someone who is happy to spend long periods of time in the saddle (hacking, cantering) – this could be laps on a canter track or long rides around the forest.

Good turn out skills is a must (plaiting, trimming, grooming, washing).

You will get the chance to crew at local, National, and International competitions (training available throughout).
