We are looking for a couple to work together within a beautiful, private, country house located in rural Essex two miles from the village of Bures. This will be a part time role for both the housekeeper and gardener with accommodation included in the form of a 2-bed cottage within the grounds. The couple should want to live in an unspoilt rural location.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced couple looking to work part time and would ideally suit a retired or semi-retired couple. It would also be an opportunity for a couple who could find extra work in the area to make up their hours. Previous housekeeping and gardening/handyperson experience is required. Lovely, reliable and flexible afternoon Nanny / Mothers Help required to assist busy family of 4, 3-4 afternoons a week.
The children are both school age, one is at a local school and the other is at boarding school.
Hours:
Days of work:
Ideally a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and possibly a Friday afternoon. The core days would be a Tuesday and Thursday as these tend to be the busiest afternoons with a lot going on.
Breakdown of the position:
Term time:
Monday – 3pm-6.30pm (3.5 hours)
- Would involve a school collection at 3.15. A short walk to a dance class (500 metres away). Dance ends 4.45. Home for tea etc
Tuesday- 3pm or 5.30pm start- 9pm finish (3.5 or 6 hours)
- School collection at 3.15 . Home for quick supper. Leave home at 6.30 for Guides in Ware (20 min drive). Involves waiting nearby and collecting at 8.30pm. This could potentially be a shared day – Mum could perhaps do school pick up, but would then need someone to take over later, by 5.30 latest. Mum will then need to go to Cambridge to see her son perform. Someone could cover the lot from 3,15-9pm or they could do 5.30-9pm if more convenient. This is to be confirmed.
Thursday- 2.45-8.15pm (5.5 hours)
- School pick up at 2.45pm. Drive to Hertford for singing lesson (takes 25 mins). Wait at singing lesson/nearby. Come home for tea etc. Mum wouldn’t be around at all and would be back at 8.15pm so it will be sole charge.
Friday- 3.15pm-6pm (2.45 hours)
- 3.15 school collection. Little play in the park with friends, then home for tea etc.
All mileage will be covered for driving but the person must be happy to use their own car.
School Holidays:
A lot more flexible. If the person would rather have holidays off entirely that’s not a problem, if however they would like to continue working throughout, that’s fine too. The hours will change and will be more daytime than afternoon/evening.
This would suit an experienced, local, caring and kind person who is ultra reliable and trustworthy.

We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy person to assist an elderly couple with shopping and preparing meals and possibly light duties within the house.
A good cook is essential who can provide healthy, delicious evening meals and sometimes lunches which can be eaten the next day.
This would suit a kind, caring person who is lovely to have around.
There is no personal care involved just help with preparing supper, changing the bed and some ironing.

The family home is in Belle Vue, about ten minutes from the town.
This would suit someone who has been a private Nanny previously and has newborn and toddler experience. The children are 3 years old and 16 months.

Lovely, experienced Nanny required for a wonderful family of 4 in Hempstead who have two little children aged 2 and 10 months.
Hours:
35-38 hours a week (approximately 8.5-9.5 hours a day) Monday- Thursday. The family have a guest en-suite bedroom in the main house which the Nanny could stay in from Monday-Thursday if accommodation is required. Occasional babysitting included in hours.
Both parents work although Mum works part time and likes to help with the children where she can. This would therefore suit someone who enjoys this set up as they will not always have sole charge.
The role will include:
- Organising activities such as visiting the Zoo, attending weekly swimming classes, playdates, creating outdoor and indoor fun/games.
- Sole charge of the children a lot of the time
- Naps
- Preparing children’s food, batch cooking and baking
- Bottle feeding
- Changing nappies
- Helping with potty training
- Tidying up after the children
- Light housekeeping, laundry
- Potentially going on holiday with the family
The family are looking for a kind, caring, positive and fun Nanny to slot in and become a member of their team. This would suit someone who has a genuine love for children and is looking for a long term, permanent role.
Car driver essential and clean driving licence. Use of the family car for outings and nursery run.
DBS check and excellent working references essential.

We are looking for a temporary Nanny for 3 days from the 16th – 18th October for 5-6 hours a day.
This is a temporary position with a lovely family based just outside of Hadleigh. The position would entail looking after one 18 month old boy, ideally from 8.30am – 1pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The hours could be flexible for the right person, so possibly one afternoon instead of a morning. A competitive rate of pay would be offered.
The ideal person will:-
- Have at least 5 years Nanny or Childcare experience
- Have the relevant DBS checks
- Be kind and fun
- Loyal, trustworthy and able to look after small children independently
- Be able to provide at least 2 references
The position:-
- Sole charge of one 18 month old boy
- Prepare lunch or tea depending on the hours
- All nanny duties such as nappy changing, entertaining and playing
- Going on walks around the farm
