We are looking for an experienced and energetic nanny to join a busy, family household, to help look after their lovely four-year old son, and to help with some household chores.

This is a long-term role which is focused on engaging with the little boy and arranging fun activities during 3 days per week during the school holidays, and two or three afternoons each week during term time (but term time hours can be bolstered with additional housekeeping, alongside the families part-time housekeeper, if requested).  There is quite a lot of flexibility surrounding hours for the right person, so please get in touch if you think that you might be interested and be a good fit. Hours:

The main dates that they require help for at the moment are:

Both parents work full time and regularly travel to London and/or internationally for work purposes. They are looking for a super reliable and wonderful person to help them with their children on a part time basis, every afternoon, Monday-Friday.

The family have a 3 and 9 year old. One goes to nursery and the other is at school.

The hours:

  • Monday: Approx 5.30 pm -7.00 – 8.00 pm (to include nursery / school collection, after school club and supper in a local pub/restaurant, back home, bath and bed)
  • Tuesday: approx  4.15 pm – 7.00 – 8.00 pm (to include nursery/ school collection, football training then back home for supper, bath and bed
  • Wednesday: approx 4.30 pm – 6.00 – 7.00pm (relaxed evening with no activities / clubs)
  • Thursday:  approx 4.30 pm- 6.00 -7.00pm  (to include nursery/ school collection, swimming club then back home bath and bed)
  • Friday:approx 4/5pm – 5/6pm  (relaxed evening with no activities / clubs)

If the parents are having to work in London or abroad, there will be times when the Mothers Help will need to stay a bit longer (7-8pm). It can vary however, sometimes  2 – 3 days a week, sometimes none- flexibility is therefore paramount.

If the Mothers Help requires more hours each week then this is a possibility, but the role will then include a bit of light housekeeping, cooking, shopping and ironing to make up the hours.

This is ideally a self-employed position and would suit someone who is nice, local. and flexible.  School holiday hours will be different as the family tend to travel abroad to visit relatives. Someone looking to have school holidays off would be preferred although the family are happy to try and work something out if needs be.

The successful person will need to drive,  have a clean licence and be happy using their own car.  Mileage will be covered.

We are looking for an experienced  Freelance Garden Designer to join an award winning, thriving family business with over 25 years experience, creating beautiful gardens and timber frame garden buildings for the distinctive landscape and architecture of East Anglia.

The office is located close to Framlingham and the new staff member must be a car driver with their own transport. They will be required to attend meetings in the office and visit sites in Suffolk, South Norfolk, North Essex and East Cambridgeshire.

Requirements for the Garden Designer

  • Over one year experience of working in the garden design/landscape architecture field or currently undertaking a qualification in garden design/ landscape architecture, degree or diploma desirable but other qualifications considered
  • Proficient or learning to be in the use of 2D CAD such as Vectorworks or AutoCAD and 3D modeling such as SketchUp (Vectorworks is used and supplied in the office)
  • Basic plant knowledge
  • Can work to tight deadlines
  • Good people skills
  • Driving license

Desirable

  • Landscape construction and materials knowledge
  • Experience in designing planting plans
  • Plant care knowledge
  • Experience in undertaking site surveys
  • Experience in designing or constructing timber-framed buildings
  • Familiar with basic planning constraints
  • Photoshop experience

Flexibility is key and the right person must be willing to assist with designing gardens large and small.

A reliable, enthusiastic person with a good work ethic is essential.

Polite, well presented with excellent communication skills are all required for this role.

Housekeeper, Guildford, Surrey REF JF1711

Part Time experienced Housekeeper required for private household located in rural Surrey approximately 5 miles South of Guildford.

We are looking for someone to work 12 hours a week over 3 days ( to include Fridays). The house is a large newly built family home which lends itself to a great environment to work in.

The housekeeper must be reliable, trustworthy with a positive attitude and a good work ethic. Someone who has a keen eye for detail, who really takes a pride in their work. The ability to follow instructions, willingness to learn and be proactive. The successful person must be happy working alone, although there is a gardener on site too. A friendly sunny disposition is a must.

A car driver with own transport and a non smoker essential. Must be animal friendly and be prepared to walk a lovely cavapoo on the odd occasion.

What the role will involve:-

  • Maintaining this brand new house to a high standard of immaculate cleaning and presentation.
  • All vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, stripping and making beds and general tidying
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Cleaning fire grates
  • Internal window cleaning
  • Deep cleans on a regular basis
  • Liaising with all types of contractors, keeping systems functional
  • Watering indoor plants
  • Forwarding mail

This is a live out position, so would suit someone living within half an hour of the property.

Salary offered will be between £16 and £20 per hour self employed.

Cleaners & Housekeepers required – Holt, Langham and Saxlingham – RR1708

Very experienced and trustworthy cleaners and housekeeper required for 2-3 private households in and around Holt, Norfolk.

Hours:

  • Holt – 15 hours a week spread over 3 days ideally
  • Saxlingham – 2 hours twice a week, afternoons preferred
  • Langham – 1 full day a week 9am-4pm.

Car drivers essential due to remote property locations.

All Housekeepers/cleaners must be fully referenced.
