A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Conservation Estate Worker located on a Private North Norfolk Estate.

This is a full-time position and a multi skilled role which will involve carrying out general conservation duties alongside the already developed shoot, also maintaining the Estate and its natural surroundings to a very high standard.

Responsible for the smooth running of all aspects of the Estate Office and some administrative aspects of The Main Lodge and assist with practical projects relating to property refurbishment. Organise preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs.

The role is full time 9am-5pm Monday to Friday primarily office based but some home working can be considered.

The position requires a flexible approach to work and hours worked to ensure deadlines are met especially at busy period, being August to November. This could mean working an occasional weekend and/or evening.

The small office team consists of the Estate Manager, a full time Bookkeeper & HR Administrator, a part time Land and Estates Administrator and the Office Manager. These members of staff report to the Estate Manager but manage office tasks between themselves.  The office team will cover for each other’s holidays and when there are significant changes in anyone’s workload.

Health & Safety

Other Duties

  • Vehicle Licence/tax/MOT renewals.

  • Assist with keeping the Estate diary and shoot calendar etc up to date, advise colleagues of events when necessary.

  • Maintaining the paddocks using large machinery – spraying, topping, muck clearing etc
  • Checking fences and repairing where necessary
  • Keeping hay and bedding store neat and well stacked

The Person:

  • Reliable, punctual and hard working
  • Physically fit as some of the work will involve lifting and pushing heavy barrows etc
  • Able to maintain paddocks to a high standard using large machinery – tractor and implements
  • A car driver with own transport
  • Will be within 30 minutes commute

Full time, seasonal Polo Groom (March- September 2025)- RR1834 – FILLED

Full time, experienced Polo Groom required for lovely private yard Nr Bentley, Suffolk.

To start  1st March 2025– Middle September 2025, permanent position available if the person wants to stay long term.

The Groom will be in charge of 5 ponies, riding 2 lots per day, a good rider is therefore essential as they will be responsible for getting the ponies match fit whilst keeping them sound.

They will also need to be capable of mucking out, feeding, grooming, doing all general yard duties etc to a high standard.

The ability to spot illness or injury is important. Liaising with farriers, vets etc may be involved so a good communicator is key.

The hours;

  • 8am – 5 pm, Tuesday – Friday with flexibility during the season
  • Saturday & Sunday –  mornings only with flexibility during the season
  • When polo starts, full days will be required at the weekends

This is a a self employed role. Good hourly rate on offer.

Accommodation available in Bentley if required – 2 bedroom flat (not shared). Can accommodate a small, well behaved pet.

Someone with an HGV licence would be ideal, although it is not essential. If the person wishes to stay with the yard long term, then they can be put through their lorry licence.

Estate / Farm Manager -Necton, Norfolk – RR1831

Experienced, flexible and diverse Estate / Farm Manager required for well established Norfolk Farm set amongst 2300 hectares.

The farm consists or traditional cereals, vegetables (part organic) and livestock.

This is a full time, permanent position. The Estate Manager must be willing to be the first point of call and deal with all matters large and small. They will be responsible for the day to day operations of the estate including crop and livestock management, financial planning and general estate / farm maintenance.

A good decision maker and leader is key. They will be liaising with the principals,  suppliers, buyers, and regulatory authorities,  ensuring high standards and compliance are kept at all times, navigating professionally through the day to day complexities of farming.

The position will require someone who is hands on and practical.

They will be required to go to London twice a month, sometimes more.

The person must be open minded, friendly and hardworking. Farming knowledge is essential and those without it will not be considered.

The person must be competent driving tractors and happy to roll up their sleeves and muck in as and when needed.

You will report directly to the principals and must be willing to accept different cultures and farming methods.

Weekends and overtime will be expected during busier periods.
