We are looking for an experienced and exceptionally reliable Head Girl/Lad who is capable of having sole charge of a large, successful and specialist pre-training yard within striking distance of Newmarket.
This is a full time, permanent position and you will be required to carry out all yard duties to a high standard including clipping, pulling manes, trimming, mucking out, temperature checks, bandaging, poulticing etc.
You will be expected to manage a team of 20-30 staff members whilst the owners are off site.
You will be required to work every other weekend and will have sole responsibility for everything that goes on. You must be prepared to manage and handle all issues that arise, liaising with vets, transport agencies etc.
You will be expected to work longer hours as and when necessary.
Experience of running a big, busy yard is VITAL and having a real knowledge of horse’s legs and soundness is essential for this role.

Ideally this is a full time role but would consider someone who can do 3 or 4 full days.

The ideal person will be able to carry out the following duties to a high standard:
• Grass cutting using ride on tractor mower for both formal and informal areas
• Maintain fencing

We are looking for an experienced Gardener / Caretaker to look after and manage 40 acres of wonderful parkland and formal gardens.
This is a 40 hour week (Monday-Friday).
You will need to be able to drive a tractor mower and large ride on mower.
This property has 4 acres of formal gardens so the applicant must be capable of keeping them looking there best all year round as well as keeping on top of the remaining 36 acres of parkland.
You will also be required to mend fencing, chop trees down, let people in and out of the property, cut hedges; strim and arrange for things to be fixed/replaced if they appear broken, so you must be hands on, assertive and “handy”.
We need someone who is extremely trustworthy and loyal, someone who is capable of managing their own time and happy to liaise with contractors, local farmers when bigger jobs are required.

We are looking for an experienced and versatile part time Housekeeper/ Mothers Help, 4 days a week, 3pm-7pm, 16 hours total, no weekends.
