We are looking for an experienced and energetic nanny to join a busy, family household, to help look after their lovely four-year old son, and to help with some household chores.

This is a long-term role which is focused on engaging with the little boy and arranging fun activities during 3 days per week during the school holidays, and two or three afternoons each week during term time (but term time hours can be bolstered with additional housekeeping, alongside the families part-time housekeeper, if requested).  There is quite a lot of flexibility surrounding hours for the right person, so please get in touch if you think that you might be interested and be a good fit. Hours:

  • Holiday hours: 3 x 8 hour days
  • Term time hours: 2-3 x 4 hour afternoons

Overall job purpose:

Experienced Wardrobe Co-ordinator required to join a small, busy team within a large country home in rural Gloucestershire, for the female principal.

This is a part time position and the hours will be 20 per week, ideally over 4 days – to be agreed, however flexibility required to cover changing schedules on occasions.

As Wardrobe Co-ordinator in the private household, you will be responsible for the care, maintenance and preparation of the principal’s wardrobe and for the cleanliness of their private rooms. The main dates that they require help for at the moment are:

Mothers Help / Housekeeper required 2 days a week (8am-6pm). The person will need to be happy predominantly keeping on top of the house work, making sure things are lovely and tidy. We are looking for a wonderful kind, fun and capable temporary housekeeper/ home help for a family holiday in Burnham Overy Staithe for 2-3 weeks in August.

  • 10th August until 27th/28th.  Weekends of 17th and 24th are key.

This is a great opportunity for someone seeking some temporary work with a lovely family for a few weeks in the summer. The family are hoping to find someone for 4-5 hours in the morning from around 9.30am to help clear breakfast, prepare lunch and leave something for their supper. There will also be some light housekeeping duties to include hoovering, dusting, tidying away etc. popping a wash on, making beds and loading and unloading the dishwasher. They would also love someone flexible who is happy to pop to the shops as and when needed to keep the fridge well stocked for guests.

The hours may vary slightly from day to day depending on the families needs and the amount of guests they have staying. There family of 4 will be there all the time but there could be a maximum of 12 people at any time, with guests coming and going throughout the holiday.

The position will include;

  • Keeping the house clean and tidy
  • Preparing meal plans with the client, clearing away from breakfast, preparing light lunch and leaving something basic for supper
  • Popping to the shops as and when needed to make sure the house is well stocked for guests
  • Cooking simple wholesome family meals (there is an Aga to cook with)
  • Bed changing will be required but ironing is not

The ideal person will be;

  • Polite, fun and willing to muck in with the family
  • Someone experienced in cleaning and cooking
  • Happy to be flexible and willing to run small errands such as popping to the shops
  • Easy to get along with and helpful to the family to make their holiday as lovely as possible!
  • Happy around dogs
  • A car driver is essential

Part Time experienced Housekeeper required for large private house located near Braintree Essex.

The ideal person will be required to work between 8 and 12 hours a week over 2/3 days – preferably Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic person with previous private household experience who can manage the housework of this family farmhouse. The position will include laundry and ironing, bed changing and general tidying.

Part Time experienced Gardener required for private country house located close to the village of Boxford approx 5 miles from Sudbury Suffolk.
We are looking for a gardener who can work approx 3 hours a week on a regular basis to maintain this lovely garden, owned by a young local family, to a high standard.
The garden comprises:
  • Formal terraced garden close to the house
  • Formal lawn
  • Paddock
  • Small woodland
The Gardener will be required to concentrate on the formal beds and keeping the main lawned area maintained. General gardening, such as weeding, pruning, cutting back, restocking and basically keeping the garden looking great.
Experience in garden machinery also required ,such as strimmer, hedge cutter etc.

We are looking for a Bar Manager for a beautiful old village pub in the heart of Bildeston, Suffolk.

The pub is the home of a unique business combining the owners love of music and wine, hosting special events including pub quizzes, live music, bespoke winemaker dinners as well as ticketed wine & cheese tastings.

We are looking for a bar manager to work the core evenings of Thursday, Friday, Saturday’s and possibly some Wednesdays if events are running. The total amount of hours would be approximately 34 per week.

The pub is home to a successful wine company and our client would preferably like someone who has an interest in wine. Knowledge of wine would be a bonus, but is not essential and there are opportunities for developing wine knowledge and attending trade tastings. The pub is also looking to reinvigorate its onsite brewery so there will be scope to learn the art of brewing or build on brewing skills should the applicant already be experienced in this area.

Part Time experienced Grounds and Maintenance Person required for private country house located approx 8 miles east of Ipswich.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic person to join this small team working 2 or 3 days a week, 8am to 4pm.

The formal gardens include many unusual trees and plants, in addition there is a small woodland and wildflower meadows. The owners are working to increase the land as a haven for wildlife.

The Position:-

  • Maintaining borders and lawns
  • Helping with the vegetable garden

Holiday cover Housekeeper (4 weeks -August 2024)- Brancaster Staithe, Norfolk- RR1718

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeper to step in for one month this August to provide holiday cover. This could materialise into something more full time and permanent for the right person.

  • Minimum hours – 18 per week

The person must have previous private housekeeping experience and be happy to step into the large family home and hit the ground running taking care of the following:

  • Daily cleaning of the 8 bedroom house (dusting, polishing, hoovering, mopping)
  • General tidying, arranging, sorting and organising
  • Changing bed linen
  • Loading and unloading the dishwasher
  • Managing all laundry-there is often quite a lot with 6 children

This position could materialise into something more permanent for the right person.

No accommodation available so the Housekeeper will need to be able to get to Brancaster Staithe.
