Opportunity to ride 2-4 times a week to bump up the hours if required, the person will need to be an experienced and lightweight rider capable of schooling the super 15.2 pony to a novice/intermediate BD level.

It would be a real bonus if the person can pull manes, clip, trim, plait up and generally turn horses out to a high standard.

Full Time Groom/Rider, Manningtree, Essex -Ref JF1697

Full Time experienced Groom/Rider required to join this small established team on private yard located near Manningtree, Essex.

We are looking for someone who can carry out all yard duties to a high standard and provide first class care to the 13 horses on site.

The horses are hunters and driving horses so the groom must have excellent turn out skills-clipping, plaiting, trimming etc. Experience with driving horses would be great but not a dealbreaker.

A good rider necessary to mostly hack with a little school work – but confidence and the ability to ride large horses is essential.

Someone who can take sole charge when necessary and be vigilant about spotting illness or injury and contacting the right person asap.

Reliability and a good work ethic all required as well as an easy to get along with personality and good addition to the team.

This is a 5.5 day week with weekends worked on a rota.

Car driver

Lorry driver would be an advantage but again not essential
