We are looking for someone to join the established maintenance team who are responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of the Estate’s 23 commercial spas and 10 swimming pools.

The new team member will be responsible for making sure the spas and pools are working correctly, clean and chemically balanced as well as daily testing to ensure all levels are correct.

The position will also involve assisting with planned and reactive maintenance works to the Estate properties.

Pay :

  • £27,000 – £32,000 per annum dependent on experience

Hours:

  • Full Time employed contract working Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm
  • One weekend in five working 10.30am to 7pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm Saturday – Sunday

The family are hoping to find an experienced and wonderful Housekeeper to replace their previous Housekeeper of 4 years.

The family home is 2 miles from Holt (a lovely Georgian market town) and a 20 minute drive from North Norfolk’s famous sandy beaches. We are looking for a self-motivated, adaptable individual who will be open to adjusting their role as the family’s needs develop.

The role is primarily cleaning and laundry to a high standard (polishing, dusting, hoovering, mopping, tidying, organising drawers/cupboards, changing bed linen etc)

The role will also include:

  • Cooking: basic family cooking plus bulk “freezer” cooking for shoot lunches. Also option to cook for dinner parties should applicant be interested and experienced.
  • Some childcare, including driving, for 11 year old boy-girl twins and 7 year-old boy: occasional babysitting and supervising
  • Occasional weekend and evening work

We are looking for someone who can carry out all yard duties to a high standard and provide first class care to the 13 horses on site.

The horses are hunters and driving horses so the groom must have excellent turn out skills-clipping, plaiting, trimming etc. Experience with driving horses would be great but not a dealbreaker.

We are looking for someone fun with lots of energy, enthusiasm and a ‘can-do’ attitude to entertain 3 boys ages 7 (twins) and 5 during their summer holidays. The family live 10 minutes away from Southwold beach and have a beach hut that the children can use. The boys love being outside, so someone to entertain them playing football/ sports/ games etc would be ideal!

Other duties would include:

  • Light cooking for the children
  • Keeping areas within the house clean and tidy and making sure toys are put away etc.

Grounds keeper:

Regular duties include:

  • Mowing lawns with walk behind mowers
  • Edging lawns & grass
  • Manual weeding, hand rogueing of grassed areas & farm grassland
  • Weeding around trees & hedges, maintaining tree protection and guards
  • Pruning hedges, shrubs & small trees (from ground) in the correct seasons
  • Orchard maintenance
  • Ability to use all hand-held gardening tools – manual & mechanical
  • Ability to drive tractors, compact and large, is essential and telehandler a benefit

Adhoc duties:

  • Clearing gutters & exterior cleaning of buildings and cladding
  • Cleaning external high level glazing where possible
  • Repairing of stock fencing / post & rail (existing only – to keep in good order)
  •  Maintaining clean and tidy tool sheds and storage areas, along with disposal of rubbish, hay ,chaff and any unwanted items by agreement with the employer
  • Help round sheep up occasionally
  • House / Pet sitting

Full time, experienced and qualified Accounts Person / Bookkeeper required for lovely family run business in the Centre of Newmarket.

Hours:

  • 8.30-4.30pm or 9am-5pm (flexible re start and finish time)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as Xero and Lightspeed

Full time Racing Secretary required for lovely family yard in Newmarket, Suffolk.  This is a great opportunity for someone who loves horse racing and is keen to join a small, successful and friendly team.

Hours:

40 hours a week in total to include a 3-4 hours every Saturday (Saturday hours can be worked remotely if preferred)

  • 4 days a week – 8am-5pm
  • Remaining 1 day a week (preferably a Thursday) 8am-1pm
  • Plus a Saturday morning 3-4 hours (either on site or remote)

Requirements:

  • Taking care of all entries and declarations
  • Updating and communicating with owners regularly (via telephone, email etc)
  • Keeping track of staff overtime
  • Helping the accountant with staff hours / overtime
  • Additional help with social media and the company website as and when necessary
  • Taking photos of horses on the yard and uploading them onto the inhouse system or sending to owners as and when requested
  • Helping with microchipping (if the person has equine experience)
  • Using Yardman software – uploading horses details, passport etc (training provided if required)

Full Time experienced Nanny required for busy young family located in semi-rural location close to Halstead. The role is ideally live out but the option to live in could be considered. 

This is a full time role, Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 6.30pm, where you will be looking after a lovely 3 year old boy during the day and also doing the school drop off’s and pick up’s for the older two children. The 3 year old will be going to nursery 3 days a week from September, at which time the role will drop down to 2 full days (7.30am – 6.30pm) then wrap around care for the 3 children the other 3 days of the week. The role will be full time during the school holidays from September.

The ideal person will be reliable, flexible and kind with a genuine love of working with small children. The ability to cook healthy, delicious meals for the children is a must.  A tidy person who is happy to keep on top of tidying children’s areas as well as bed changing and children’s laundry. The family has two lovely Labrador dogs, so a dog friendly person is also a must. 

Car driver essential due to location and school/nursery drop off and pick up, as the school is a 30 minute drive away.

The Position:

  • Care of the 3 year old boy during the day, ideally spending as much time outside as possible plus taking to local play groups/ days out
  • Taking the two older children to and from school  – this is a 30 minute drive away so the person must be a confident and proficient driver
  • After school care for all 3 children including cooking tea, bath and bedtime routine
