Purpose of the Job:

Holmwood House School is looking for an administrator to join its busy front office team. The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable and will have a ‘can do’ attitude. You will provide effective, frontline support to the whole school and will be expected to act as the main receptionist for the school.

Duties will include:

  • Answering the telephone and ensuring messages are taken accurately and passed on quickly.
  • Answering and dealing with queries from parents and helping children and staff with queries throughout the day.
  • Signing pupils and visitors in or out as necessary.
  • Type and distribute correspondence, notices and minutes for staff.
  • Work in the school’s management information system (iSams) to monitor morning and afternoon registration on a daily basis, liaising with form tutors and following up unexplained absences with parents, entering diary dates, pupil messages, etc.
  • First Aid training to be undertaken in order to provide cover for the School Nurse.
  • Administration of the school’s Breakfast and Biscuit (After School) Clubs.
  • Coordinating the Afterschool activities schedule
  • A range of other tasks as required.

  • Preparing room for guests

Grounds Person / Gardener – Nr Woodbridge / Suffolk – REF 1111

Full time experienced Grounds Person / Gardener required for private country house located in Pettistree near Woodbridge.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic person to manage the grounds of this property all year round.

This is a permanent position offering 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm

The current grounds person is leaving after 8 years.

A good salary will be offered to the successful person.

The Position:

  • Grass care using large ride on mower, tractor mower, strimmers etc
  • Hedge cutting
  • Chainsaw use
  • General maintenance to equestrian facilities (mending fences)
  • Pruning, weeding and cutting back
  • Keeping the grounds neat and tidy at all times
  • Basic machine maintenance if possible
  • Cleaning cars

This would suit a reliable, energetic and hard working person who generally loves working outside in all weathers.

This is not an isolated position as there are other people employed on the estate. Previous experience in a similar role essential.

Part Time experienced Housekeeper required for family house located in central Ipswich.

The ideal person will be able to manage the cleaning of this family home carrying out all housework, laundry and ironing to a high standard.

The family have children and occasional babysitting may be required. It may also be necessary to help with the school run ( very rarely)

Car driver essential with own transport

We are looking for someone reliable, with a good work ethic who can work 12 hours a week over 2 or 3 days.

Good hourly rate offered to the successful person.
