A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Rider / Groom to join a lovely small private yard in Woking. This is a full time, permanent position, Monday to Saturday (40 hours per week), evenings and weekends as required.
The family have 11 horses/ponies stabled at one time and there are two other stable staff onsite, therefore creating a lovely team environment.
The yard consists of 50 acres and has a large, surfaced arena. The facilities are wonderful making it a lovely place to work.
The successful person will ideally be light weight and able to ride ponies as well as horses. We cannot consider any novices. The person must be a competent, neat and effective rider as the horses will need schooling, jumping and sometimes competing.
Riding photos and videos will be required as part of the application process. Those that have competed in BE, BS, BD, Polo or equivalent would be preferable.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Riding school and exercising leisure/sports horses for competition
- Assist with lessons for beginners and an opportunity to compete
- Carrying out routine duties including mucking out, feeding and grooming horses within the stud
- Assisting with the distribution of food and bedding and the disposal of soiled and dirty materials
- Carrying out maintenance of the stud and surroundings as directed, including boxes, yards, paddocks, fences and buildings as required
- Travelling horses to exercise or competitions and shows as directed by the Supervisor and/or Training/Instructor
- Conducting all tasks in accordance with and observing the health and safety policies including the correct use of equipment and personal protective equipment
- Any other reasonable and equitable tasks as directed by the yardman or head lad as appropriate
- Required to occupy company accommodation for the better performance of duties, which include but are not limited to:
- Evening checks on livestock and property
- Emergency call outs; fire, gas leaks, environmental issues
- First point of contact and liaison with other stakeholders ie. emergency services, vets etc.
- General security

- Riding school experience/good experience with children; for ponies 12h to 16h.
- Excellent rider, flat work, jumping, assisting riders and competition work.
- Good communication skills and confidentiality are essential.

The Night Manager / Host role is pivotal at West Lexham. You will be the first person to respond to any questions or issues that occur during the night on site. It is vital that the successful candidate is calm, polite, responsible, and confident dealing with various customer situations, requests, and potential complaints. The Night Manager / Host will have a duty of care for every person on site.
Hours will be 5.00pm – 11.30pm then 11.30pm-7.30am (on call). The job will operate on a shift/rota basis with other Night Managers / Hosts.

- Pack down the café and help set up for the morning
- Check the grounds are safe and doors are locked

An established business based in Hadleigh ,Suffolk designing and making light fittings and home furnishings are looking for a Full Time Multi skilled team member to undertake a range of production tasks across differing areas of the workshop.
This is a late shift position within the workshop team and the hours will be 1.30pm to 10 pm ( Monday to Friday)
A competitive salary due to be increased from 1st March 2022 and there is also a 10% premium for working the late shift.
23 days holiday plus 8 days bank holidays-this will increase to 25 days plus 8 in 2024.
Tasks will include :-
- Cutting and Processing
- Drilling and Threading
- Tube bending
- Tending CNC machines
- Load/unload spinning machine
- All forms of blasting
- Prep for AB, BW and painting
The successful person must work in a safe manner and be personally accountable for completing their day to day activities in accordance with training, SOPs and Drawings.
Must be able to keep accurate work records and proactively suggest improvements in processing, tooling and equipment to increase safety, quality and efficiency. The ability to check quality of own work and responsible for looking after the equipment. Also maintain the work place to a high standard of cleanliness.
The ideal person will be a good team player with a ‘can do’ approach to work and a willingness to undertake a range of tasks and learn new skills. The ability to read basic drawings essential and to use a variety of workshop tools both hand and fixed.

Full Time experienced Groundsperson to manage the beautiful grounds of this private country house located between Northampton and Banbury.
Car driver essential due to location.
We are looking for a reliable, punctual, hard working person who genuinely loves working outside keeping the gardens and grounds in good order.
The ideal person will have previously worked on an Estate carrying out the following duties:-
- Grass cutting using a large ride on mower and implements
- Strimming and hedgcutting
- Keeping driveways clear and tidy
- Maintaining ditches
- Keeping fences in good order, repairs and painting
- Chopping logs for the house
- Clearing leaves and generally keeping the grounds around the property clean and tidy
- Assisting the gardener when required
- Keeping the garden machinery in good working order and fully fuelled ready for use
- Cleaning windows and woodwork of the house
- Weed control ( organic )
A good salary will be offered to the successful person who will have fully checkable references.

Full Time experienced Chauffeur required for HNW family located approx 8 miles from Banbury Oxfordshire.
The ideal person will :-
- be reliable, punctual, discrete and completely trustworthy
- be well presented and polite
- be experienced with driving for a private household
- be experienced with driving in London as well as Oxfordshire and the rest of the UK
- be happy to start early and finish late as and when necessary
- be happy carrying out airport runs and school runs
- have ideally a Military background or close protection experience.
The Position:-
- Driving the Principals and their children
- Driving into and around London confidently and safely
- Driving to the airport, station, schools etc
- Will have some early starts and late finishes
This is a live out position so the successful person will be required to live within half an hour of Banbury/Northampton.
A good salary will be offered to a person who is a non smoker with a clean licence and fully checkable references.
