The family have homes in the following areas – Laxfield, Monks Eleigh and Braintree, therefore we are looking for someone who is located in the Bildeston, Hadleigh or nearby area.

The position is to support a busy couple that run an international business that includes a lot of travel as well as competing their horses at a very high level. Maintenance person

1 or 2 full time groom / riders required for GB endurance yard in Norfolk.
This is a riding position and both grooms must be excellent, light weight riders. This is a fantastic chance to work with a small, competitive team.
You do not need to have worked with endurance horses previously but MUST have ridden to a good level in either dressage, show jumping, eventing, polo, hunting or racing.
This would be ideal for someone who loves riding and enjoys being in the saddle for long hours!

Full Time experienced Carer required to provide support for elderly gentleman with beautiful property located near Orford, Suffolk. The surrounding area is lovely with the coast being really close and the town of Woodbridge only 11 miles away.
This is a live in position and the carer will have their own space ( large bedroom and en-suite bathroom). 2 full days off a week, however ideally the carer will be in residence overnight at all times unless arrangements made with the family who are very local.

Live In Couple required for private country house located in rural location near Haverhill.
We are looking for a Full Time experienced gardener/Groundsperson who carry out the following :-
- All lawn care using large garden machinery
- General Gardening – weeding, pruning, cutting, restocking beds, edging, caring for the rose garden etc
- Maintaining the vegetable garden
- Hedge cutting
- Log chopping

Part time housekeeper required approx 8 hours a week minimum to carry out housework, laundry and ironing in this large country house located in North Lincolnshire( approx 15 miles West of Gainsborough)
We are looking for someone reliable, trustworthy and really easy to get along with to assist other staff members and cover days off etc.
In exchange for the part time hours there will be accommodation and most of the bills included.
The position would suit someone looking for a place to call home in a lovely location. The successful person/persons could possibly be employed elsewhere but have hours available to fit in with this household. Full Time RHS qualified Head Gardener required for private Estate located close to Witham and approx 11 miles North of Chelmsford.
We are looking for someone very experienced who can manage these beautiful gardens and restore them to their former splendour where needed.
This is a Monday to Friday position and the hours will be 8.30am to 4.30pm
The gardens comprise a one acre victorian walled garden and a further two acres of lawns and beds around the stately home.
The current gardener is sadly retiring after 4 years, so the incoming Head Gardener will be required to continue with the refurbishment of the walled garden and restoration of various flower beds.
This would suit a passionate gardener who would relish the opportunity of a blank canvas to bring the walled garden back to it’s former glory.
The gardens are private but it is hoped that they can be opened up a few days a year for charity events.

Full Time Couple required for large sporting Estate approximately 22 miles West of Aberdeen. This is a live in position and a 3 bedroom house with a very competitive salary will be offered to the successful couple.
We are looking for a couple with previous private household experience who understand the demands of working within a family environment and also what is required when the shooting season etc starts as far as visitors and guests staying at the properties.

Full Time employed Housesitter/Dog Sitter with horse experience required for 3 branches of the same family with houses in Colchester, Braintree and South Suffolk.
We are looking for someone who can cover holiday dates for the family throughout the year and an annual salary will be paid to secure the perfect person.
Monks Eleigh, Suffolk Large country house and 2 labradors ( one elderly)
Braintree, Essex Large Country house and 1 dog
Colchester, Essex Large Country house, dogs and 2 retired horses and chickens
The successful person will be a full -time employee ( and paid as such) – 28 days paid holiday will be included and there will be periods of no work.
Car driver essential and expenses will be paid when using own car. A car can be made available if preferred.
The ideal person will be confident with horses as the elderly equines will need checking, mucking out, turning out and bringing in from the field, making sure they are well and have hay and water.
The family dogs will need walking and feeding and of course veterinary care if required.
Cats and chickens also included in 2 of the households.
All houses have cleaners so no housework will be required apart from keeping the properties tidy during your stay.
Weekend housesitting will be required occasionally but plenty of notice for this will be given.
Very occasionally the employee may be asked to babysit, but this is not a common occurrence.

Full time, live in couple required for a large 12 bedroom country house in Norfolk.
The couple will be required to cook for the family and their paying guests (between 6-12 people) breakfast and occasionally supper, as well as keeping on top of all laundry and housework.
The intention is to use the estate for health retreats, group stays and high end Bed and Breakfast. Applicants will therefore need to be confident acting as front of house and dealing with problems that may arise.
The cook must be capable of preparing fresh meals to a high standard and have a good understanding of allergy alternatives (vegan etc). When they are not preparing meals it would be lovely if they could lend a hand in other areas of the house, acting as a general handy person who is willing to muck in where needed (inside or outside).
The housekeeping element will entail:
- Stripping and making beds
- Carrying out all laundry including washing, ironing etc
- General tidying of the house (polishing, hoovering, mopping, cleaning glass, antiques etc)
- Meeting and greeting guests
The property is beautiful and quite large and would therefore suit a fit couple who have worked in a similar size house before and are used to negotiating stairs and long hallways.
We are hoping to find a very friendly couple who have worked in a similar role previously. Past private household experience a MUST.

The gentleman does NOT require personal care, however he requires someone who can cook and carry out housework for them to include bed changing and laundry.

Experienced Couple required for young family located in a beautiful part of Buckinghamshire. The position will consist of managing 2 properties within a short walk of each other within the grounds of the farm.
We are looking for a traditional housekeeper and gardener/groundsperson with previous private household experience.
It is worth noting that the current couple have been with the family for more than 16 years which to us speaks volumes.
What the position involves:-
Housekeeping:
- All housework to a high standard throughout both family homes (main house and the lodge)
- Laundry and ironing, including wardrobe management, darning and sewing.
- Polishing silver
- Cooking to a good standard and happy to cook for dinner parties. Helping/serving when entertaining
- Child care if required – the family in the main house have a 3 year old girl
- Pet care if required – the family from the lodge sometimes leave their dogs in the main house
- Driving which could be airport runs or running errands
- Ideally at least one of the couple should be on site when the family are away

Estate Gardener / Groundsperson required for small Estate located approx 11 miles from Bury St Edmunds.
We are looking for someone to work either full time or if preferred 4 full days a week. A highly competitive, above industry salary will be offered and there is accommodation available should this be required. The successful person will work closely with the owners running and improving the gardens. This is a wonderful opportunity to work and possibly live in a beautiful area.
Further training and certification will be paid for if desired.
The Estate sits in 125 acres and comprises, gardens, parkland, meadows and woodland. There are c.4 acres of gardens and lawns around the house, and a woodland garden around a very small cricket pitch. In addition there is a 2.5 acre walled garden, largely looked after by two tenants and a team of wonderful volunteers.
Responsibilities will be:-
- Formal borders-pruning, cutting back plants and shrubs, watering, plant feeding, weeding, digging out/stump grinding of self seeded vegetation, mulching, applying wood chip
- Lawns-Mowing, edging, aerating, scarifying, fertilising
- Walled garden- specific responsibilities alongside the tenants and volunteers – lawn and path maintenance, ornamental replanting and maintenance as required
- Bringing on plants from seed or cuttings
- Driving the min tractor and trailer
- General garden and grounds maintenance not covered above
- General maintenance of machinery and coordinating servicing
- Assisting with set-up and on the day management of the Langham Hall Garden Festival including signage, car parking and ticketing.
Groundsperson/Caretaking:-
- Drives, Car Parks, paths and yards- tidying, raking, brushing and leaf blowing
- Weed control using chemical spray from backpack sprayer
- Tree and hedgerow planting
- Chainsaw use and other powered machines to fell trees
- Wood splitting manually or by machine to provide the hall with logs
- Digger work on ditches, stream, paths and borders
- Basic maintenance of fences
- Organising and booking contractors and suppliers
- Maintenance of swimming pool and tennis court, including chemical application, power washing, leaf clearing
- Ensuring properties on the Estate are secure at all times
- Taking bins to the end of the drive on collection days

- Assistance with garden design
- Monitoring and basic maintenance of estate properties and grounds, including chimneys, roofs, rainwater goods and drains, windows and doors, paintwork.

- Occasional dog walking
- Assisting and organising the Langham Hall Garden festival such as promotion, musicians and bar
The Person:-
- Experienced with good horticultural knowledge-RHS qualifications would be an advantage
