1 or 2 full time groom / riders required for GB endurance yard in Norfolk.

This is a riding position and both grooms must be excellent, light weight riders. This is a fantastic chance to work with a small, competitive team.

You do not need to have worked with endurance horses previously but MUST have ridden to a good level in either dressage, show jumping, eventing, polo, hunting or racing.

This would be ideal for someone who loves riding and enjoys being in the saddle for long hours!

In addition to helping train the horses for competitions you will need to be capable and happy with all stable management and yard duties (mucking out, putting horses on and off the walker, grooming, paddock care, basic illness and lameness knowledge etc).

The team have 6-8 horses in at one time and the yard has fantastic facilities.

You will have sole charge of the horses and other pets (dogs) when the family are away and will also be asked to muck in and do a bit of housework (cleaning, ironing, some cooking) in their absence. There are other full time members of staff on the property so this is not an isolated position.

The Position:-

  • High standard yard duties – mucking out, grooming, hays, waters, feeds etc
  • Handling horses on the ground-leading in and out of the field, rug changing, bandaging etc
  • Checking for injuries and illness and make owner etc aware
  • Tacking horses up for the rider
  • Washing horses off after exercise
  • Keeping the yard clean and tidy

The Person:-

  • Reliable, punctual, enthusiastic and easy to get along with
  • Must have a genuine love of working with horses ( in all weathers)
  • Will follow instructions and be able to use own initiative when required

Full Time Grounds Maintenance Operative required for private Estate with 2 sites located 10 miles south of Cambridge and 7 miles East of Cambridge.

The principle role will be to ensure the high standard of general maintenance is upheld on the Estate.  It is likely that each week will have a number of tasks to attend to and ad hoc emergency repairs as appropriate.

This is a Monday to Friday – 40 hour a week position.
