Experienced Keeper / Maintenance person required for large, private shooting estate 4 miles west of Stockbridge, on the Hampshire / Wiltshire border.  This is a full time position with fantastic accommodation available. Family or dogs welcome too.

Keeper:

The keeper side of the role will involve looking after the estate’s pheasant and partridge shoot providing 28 days a year on the 1,000 acre Hampshire estate. This will take up approximately half of the role. Most of the shoots occur during the week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) except one that takes place on a Saturday.

The person must be happy to drive a gator

Maintenance

The remaining part of the position will be basic maintenance of the estate which consists of a nine bedroom accommodation venue used both for the shoot and for holiday makers. This will include:

  • Basic plumbing

  • Dealing with any issues that arise in an appropriate and timely manner

This would suit someone who is happy to turn their hand to most things.

Riding Groom- Dereham, Norfolk- REF RR 1420

Full Time Groom / Rider required for GB endurance yard in Norfolk.

This is a riding position and the successful person will need to be an excellent, light weight rider.  This is a fantastic chance to work with a small, competitive team.

You do not need to have worked with endurance horses previously but MUST have ridden to a good level in either dressage, show jumping, eventing, polo, hunting or racing.

This would be ideal for someone who loves riding and enjoys being in the saddle for long hours!

In addition to helping train the horses for competitions you will need to be capable and happy with all stable management and yard duties (mucking out, putting horses on and off the walker, grooming, paddock care, basic illness and lameness knowledge etc).

The team have 6-8 horses in at one time and the yard has fantastic facilities.

You will have sole charge of the horses and other pets (dogs) when the family are away. There are other full time members of staff on the property so this is not an isolated position.

Opportunity to attend competitions with overnight stays and potential for overseas travel for someone who would love to get fully involved and learn how to crew at top level although again this is not essential.
